Sad Cafe started their career at RCA where they had one hit album "Facades" which featured "Everyday Hurts" and "Strange Little Girl" - this wasn't repeated and by 1981 they had moved to Polydor. Singer Paul Young had a great voice and their melodic approach was (perhaps) a little dated when compared with the sounds of post punk pop. "Follow You Anywhere" was a great choice for a single but alas made little impact on the charts despite loyal airplay from Capital and others.
Paul Young went on to become the voice of Mike and The Mechanics before succumbing to cancer. He died in 2000 aged just 53.
