Pete Townshend and Ronnie Lane - Street In The City (1979)

Pete Townshend and ex-Face Ronnie Lane made this album late in the 70s. Polydor released this track as a 12" single cut very much to the outer edge of the disc giving a high quality sound,picking out the strings and the intimate nature of the song.  It's a bit Kinks, a bit Dickens and very London.  Wonderful.
